The Danish Arts Foundation has decided this year to reward a number of composers who during the year have particularly distinguished themselves with their musical works.

The Danish Arts Foundation for Rhythmic Music reward four releases each with 50,000 kr:

One of them is Kira: "When We Were Gentle"

 

Their reasoning is:

 

Kira: "When We Were Gentle" (CD, Stunt Records). There is both sadness unclaimed luggage and time for reflection in the many dim room on When We Were Gentle. Kira gathers here the diverse threads of his past career on a sublime musical work of international class.
