"The combination of musical instruments is all wrong". That's the first thought that strikes you when you listen
to this cd: There's a guitar, a harpsichord, percussion and a harp. But it only takes one name for you to come down to earth again: Mikkel Nordsų. A name that everyone associates with a
high degree of musical seriousness. He has been in the frontline of Danish music for 300 years, or thereabout, and he has never played less than well - he's simply a fine musician. And most
people who are at all familiar with Danish music know that he has a brother who's a terrific percussionist - Klavs Nordsų, of course. The two brothers have joined forces in a great many
projects, not least in the bands Buki-Yamas and Mikkel Nordsų Band. The harpsichord and the harp are played by other members of the family, cousin Tine Rehling and uncle
Jesper B. Christensen, both of them highly competent and serious musician. |
