On Jens Winther Group's new cd he once again excels both as a composer and as an instrumentalist.
With a new strong team, Jens Winther and the band use as their point of departure the 70s' fusion music played by e.g. Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock, while combining the compositional element
with intuition. Music at times sensitive, at others explosive, sometimes almost hushed, sometimes aggressive, with solid ensemble playing and strong solos.
